Add a pet as part of the company in the search & book Update Reservation software 30 July 2025

From now on, you can specify pets as part of the company, so that guests can click on the pet directly when defining their company during the online booking process. For example: 2 adults, 2 children, 1 dog. Until now, pet-friendliness was indicated per accommodation using the facilities, this functionality still exists and can be used as a filter in the search and booking process, among other things. If you want to display pet-friendliness more prominently in the booking process, we definitely recommend using this new functionality.

Go to accommodation settings > group > pets. Here you can define a pet and link it to the accommodations where the pet is welcome. In most cases, this will be a dog, but if you also allow guests to bring other pets (such as a cat or a guinea pig), you can create a separate pet type for this.

Once you have set up the pet functionality, it will be visible in the booking process on your website. When guests specify their company and select the pet/dog option, the search results will be filtered immediately to show only accommodations where pets are allowed. Do you have accommodation types where some of the locations are pet-friendly and others are not? Then it is important that the pet is linked to the corresponding location features in the settings of your reservation system. The location features ensure that reservations with pets are only made at locations that are designated as pet-friendly.
