When the price of a particular supplement changes, you can choose to either make the change retroactively or make the change effective from a specific reservation date. After all, all reservations made up to the day of the change were at the old rate. Still, you may want to retroactively change the price of the supplement. This occurs, for example, with tourist tax rates that are not yet final for the new season. Once the tourist tax rate adjustment is definitively communicated, you can use a batch update specifically for options and surcharges to make the change as of a reservation or arrival date to be set.
