Head of Sales
At Recranet, we are building the future of tourism, recreation, and hospitality. With Recranet Booking, our channel manager, websites, online marketing, and Recranet Real Estate, we help holiday parks, campsites, rental organizations, and other tourism players grow, automate, and achieve more bookings. Recranet positions itself as the online specialist for the tourism and recreational sector and operates from Middelburg.
As Head of Sales, you have commercial leadership over our Dutch sales team (4 colleagues). This is not a role for someone who only wants to manage from a distance or primarily lives in dashboards. You are visible, approachable, and boots-on-the-ground in Middelburg. You bring structure, rhythm, and discipline to the team, coach colleagues to a higher level, and are yourself a strong sales professional who opens doors, gains trust, and closes big deals.
This is a true player-coach role. You build a high-performing sales team for the Dutch and Belgian markets, ensure a predictable pipeline, and are jointly responsible for further commercial growth in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Your role
You work closely with C-level / Sales (and marketing), and:

You manage the sales team daily and ensure clear goals, priorities, and accountability.
You bring structure to the commercial process: CRM discipline, forecasting, pipeline reviews, lead follow-up, stage definitions, sales rhythm, and clear KPIs.
You actively lead and guide sales colleagues in ICP focus, discovery, demos, needs analysis, objection handling, negotiations, and closing.
You are involved in strategic deals, key accounts, and complex projects.
You ensure commercial quality: an agreement is an agreement, follow-up is tight, quotes are sharp, and the funnel is always up-to-date.
You work closely with marketing, product, onboarding, and support to ensure propositions, leads, and customer feedback align well.
You ensure a seamless transition from sales to onboarding and guarantee a tight, predictable, and smooth onboarding process.
You assist in evaluating, hiring, onboarding, and developing new sales colleagues.
You build a culture of ownership, sharpness, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
You are occasionally on the road, but your base and visibility are at the office in Middelburg.
Who you are

You are a proven sales professional with solid experience in B2B sales (minimum 6 years).
You have experience in software, SaaS, or another commercial (preferably tech) environment.
Experience in tourism, recreation, or hospitality is a big plus.
You have several years of experience in managing, coaching, and improving sales professionals.
You are strong in consultative selling and know how to guide complex projects from the first conversation to signature.
You are punctual, organized, and strict on follow-up; you let nothing slip.
You have a likability factor: customers and colleagues quickly trust you and enjoy working with you.
You are a strong leader who is clear, sets high standards, and takes people along.
You easily switch between strategy, operations, and execution.
You are convincing in presentations, sharp in negotiations, and comfortable at the table with management, owners, and commercial teams.
You understand that a good sales team runs on rhythm, data, discipline, coaching, and exemplary behavior.
You are entrepreneurial, direct, honest, and responsible.
You speak fluent Dutch and good English; French is a plus for the Benelux market (but not required).
You don't have a nine-to-five mentality and feel real ownership over revenue, pipeline, and team performance.
